The Wild Hare is a dreamy countryside retreat made for two, offering a peaceful sanctuary just a short hop from the South Devon coast. Set within picturesque grounds, this charming bolthole invites you to slow down, soak up the beauty of the countryside, and embrace laid-back luxury.
The open-plan living space is warm and inviting, with exposed wooden beams and a cosy seating area - just the spot to curl up with that holiday read. The beautifully designed kitchen is fully equipped for sampling all the local ingredients from the lovely farm shops nearby. That homemade hearty breakfast before a day of exploring this beautiful coastline never tasted so good.
After a busy day of adventures, the sumptuous king size bed promises the deepest of slumbers. The en-suite shower room, with its sleek fittings and luxurious toiletries, adds to the indulgent feel of this countryside hideaway.
The added treat to this escape is a private sun-drenched terrace – the perfect setting for morning coffees, al fresco lunches, sizzling barbecues or a sunset tipple. Wander through the glorious communal gardens, bursting with wildflowers, fragrant herbs, and peaceful corners to sit and soak up the scenery. Set in the peaceful village of Chillington, The Wild Hare is ideally located for discovering Devon’s stunning coastline and countryside. Torcross Beach is just a 7-minute drive away, with Slapton Sands just 10 minutes, Strete Gate Beach only 12 minutes, and the vibrant market town of Kingsbridge just 15 minutes from the door. Slightly further afield, the sailing haven of Salcombe offers a delightful day out with its waterside cafés, boutique shops and fantastic seafood.
The South West Coast Path is within easy reach, offering dramatic cliff-top trails and sweeping sea views. Whether you’re after sun-soaked beach days, wild swims, or lazy pub lunches with a view, you’ll find it all within a short drive.
