Holbeton Food and Drink

There are some great little Holbeton cafes on our radar, all within a few miles of your luxury holiday cottage. So follow our guide, check out our top spots and enjoy! schoolhouse Mothecombe This popular Holbeton cafe is just at the end of the beach car park. A laidback diner with eclectic interiors and is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They’re also great for takeaways so you can picnic on the sands. The schoolhouse is the little sister of the beachhouse at South Milton which you can’t miss if you’ve spent time there. Look out for their popular barbecues and music nights which run regularly during the summer months. The perfect place to pick up your organic meat, veg and picnic deli bits, cereals, wines and groceries. Plan your menus over an almond croissant and a cappuccino, a bacon roll or perhaps delicious mixed mushrooms with salsa verde on sourdough toast. (Be sure to head to the brilliant gallery just across the carpark, it's perfect for gifts to take home!) This popular cafe with its cottage style interiors has indoor seating and a rear terrace for an alfresco afternoon cuppa. If you're planning a trip into Plymouth, why not stop off for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea at one of our chosen cafes.

Holbeton Pubs and Bars Stop off at one of our Holbeton pubs for a pint after a bracing coastal walk or a day on the beach with the kids. We have some great family and dog friendly locals ready and waiting so simply relax and enjoy!  Mildmay Colours Holbeton Sitting in the heart of Holbeton, the Mildmay Colours is a charming village pub and perfect place for lunch and a pint after a walk on the beach. Your local Holbeton family run pub prides themselves on their home cooking and local Devon Ales and ciders. Stop off for lunch and a craft beer after a lovely walk alongside the River Yealm. This stylish pub is popular with both visitors and locals and the perfect place to relax beside the river and dine alfresco.. Step inside and relax on the sofa in front of the fire with one of their award winning craft beers. The food is a cut above with an exciting menu including crab, duck, pigeon and sides of lobster butter fries as well as traditional Sunday roasts and fish and chips. Dogs are welcome in the bar area.  The Swan Inn Noss Mayo, PL8 1EE Perfect for a pint and supper after a day on the water. Why not chill out on the waterside terrace and dine on the freshest fish. They even supply outside heaters, blankets and hot water bottles for a cosy night's dining if you need them! The Dolphin Newton Ferrers, PL8 1AE This traditional village pub overlooks the  River Yealm and across to Noss Mayo.
