This ethical pub is open from 8am – late for breakfast, lunch and dinner and uses seasonal organic produce in its cooking. The result is an amazing menu of small plates, mains and deserts including lobster, charred peas, fennel herb, chili oil, lamb leg with a soubise sauce and yoghurt pannacotta with plums and pistachios. They also won the 2024 National Restaurant Award for Sustainability in 2024!

The Curator – You can’t miss The Curator in Totnes, there are two! One on The Plains at the bottom of the town. The second is just past the Market Square on the right hand side at Butterwalk. Serving up some of the best Italian pastries and cakes using traditional recipes, they even use their own wood roasted coffee.
Delphini’s Gelato – Sticking with the Italian vibe and not really a cafe but we have to mention Delphini’s. A firm favourite with the Finest Stays team! Wander up the hill under the arch in Totnes and you’ll find Delphini’s on the right hand side. An authentic gelato experience serving up homemade gelato and the best hot chocolates (also cater for vegans!). Johan the Italian owner uses organic Devon milk and cream, Belgian chocolate, Piedmont hazelnuts, Sicilian pistachios and Amarena cherries and works his magic to produce the most delicious gelato!
The Hairy Barista – This unique coffee house at the top of the High Street is perfect for specialty coffee pulled through its customised Conti machine.
Anne of Cleves – This traditional tearoom is the place for a Devon cream tea in Totnes. They’re also open for breakfast and lunch and always showcase an eye watering selection of home-baked cakes.
