The Printworks Overview

A gorgeous and expansive house that has been finished to a very high level, and set-up perfectly for modern living in the upmost style. Located at the bottom of Robinson Row, which sits just off the Salcombe high street, the famous waterfront and buzzing shops are mere seconds away. Launch your paddle-board for a morning cruise, rinse your feet under the outdoor shower on your return, and enjoy a well-earned croissant from the local bakery sitting outside in the sunshine.

The Printworks really is a hidden gem that sits in the centre of Salcombe with plenty of space and glorious terraced gardens that are perfectly set-up for al fresco dining and relaxation. The stunning annexe bedroom with remote controlled cinema screen and projector is a fabulous place to watch the latest Hollywood blockbuster in the evening. It also has a useful kitchenette, en suite shower room and big sliding windows out onto the terrace making this one very special bedroom.

The main living areas flow beautifully through the house, starting with the sitting room that has comfortable sumptuous sofas, a wood burner to keep warm in the evenings and a large TV with sound bar. This leads down to the well-equipped kitchen with its high apex ceiling and wooden beams. Double dishwashers makes entertaining that little bit easier, and a good sized drinks fridge helps with the all important chilled bottles of wine.

From the kitchen flows the orangery with floor to ceiling sliding doors out to the garden terraces. The formal dining area is a bright space for mealtimes, and a wood burner is there for added warmth. Leading from the orangery is a lovely bedroom with its own balcony and en suite shower room. There is also the ever useful utility room which leads onto a cloakroom and shower.

Downstairs from the kitchen are two delightful bedrooms. The first is an elegant space with views from the large windows down to the courtyard, and it has its own television plus en suite bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. The fourth well-appointed bedroom is on the lower ground level with use of a family bathroom.

The Printworks is a beautifully appointed house that is perfect for a coastal retreat with friends and family. With flexible arrangements for each of the bedrooms, this will be a wonderful space suiting big groups no matter what age.

No smoking inside the house.

Due to wooden floors, soft shoes only inside.

Strictly only 8 guests and up to 6 house guests (for entertaining purposes) allowed in the house at any one time.

The house is not suited to toddlers or the infirm because of the terraces and steep drops.

Strictly no pets allowed.

Please note this is the reduced occupancy version of Le Temps Perdu. There are two additional bedrooms on the lower ground floor (one super king and one twin or super king) which are not included in the rental and are out of bounds. Unfortunately, if these are used, you will be charged the full occupancy price. If you're a larger party looking for full use of this property do take a look at Le Temps Perdu.

'The Printworks' was an amazing house. Looked just like the pictures and was a great space for us as a group. The kitchen had everything we needed for a huge cooked breakfast together and we also made the most of the great BBQ that was available. The house was really clean and the guest book with instructions for everything was useful. We were so impressed with the modern bathrooms and house finishes, with each room also being a good size with plenty of bathrooms so no one was shortchanged. Beds were extremely comfy and we enjoyed watching some TV on the projector! The location is fab - literally a few steps from shops, pubs and ferry port so all amenities are easily within walking distance.
