Perched above glistening tides, our dog friendly seaside bolthole sits in the heart of The South Hams, with beautiful gardens and views across the Salcombe harbour. Situated only a 5-minute walk from the buzzing Salcombe high street and quays, its position is utterly perfect. Watch Hill has private parking for 3 cars meaning everyone can come and go as they please, totally stress-free. With every detail lovingly and carefully considered, Watch Hill offer masses of space for 11 guests to relax in style.
Approached by a flight of steps from the parking area you will find the large sun terrace with outdoor dining area, gas barbecue, wooden bench and chiminea. This terrace is absolutely drenched in sunshine and is simply divine for enjoying your breakfast in the morning or an al fresco meal in the evening. Keep warm in the evenings by firing up the chiminea and keep the children entertained by roasting some marshmallows. Paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and swimming are all favourite Salcombe past-times - stay at Watch Hill and be just 5 minutes from all the action and best beaches, but at the same time, you can enjoy the perfect peace and quiet away from noise and the hustle and bustle.
The wide hallway leads to the open plan kitchen, dining, and seating area. The views from here are magical and the French windows lead out onto the terrace with its panoramic glittering sea views. The kitchen is jam-packed with all of those little things that are just so handy. Of course, the American style fridge-freezer with ice maker is a must have when feeding a large and hungry crowd, and the all important Nespresso machine is ready for a busy morning's service!
Separate from this open plan area is a living room and second dining area (perfect for children.) Keep going, and you will discover the first bedroom, with a single bed and bunk beds. This is the ultimate kid's room - perfect for cousins or friends to have their own little section of the house, or an ideal teenager's hangout. Beyond this is a large utility area, with a washing machine and tumble dryer and shower room.
Climbing the staircase up to the second floor there are three bedrooms. The front two bedrooms have sensational sea views - and one of them also has a balcony for really taking in those ocean vistas.
Of these three bedrooms, one of these rooms has a king size bed with a sumptuous mattresses and gorgeous bed linen. The other two bedrooms can be set up as a king-size or a twin - totally up to you. These three bedrooms share a large stylish family bathroom and there is an additional loo on the landing. With the gentle salty sea breeze through the trees, you'll just adore these peaceful rooms to escape to at the end of the day.
On the third floor, you'll find the master bedroom which boasts bi-fold doors to a striking balcony, perfect for a morning coffee or a late night glass of something. With a king-size bed draped with ultra-soft cotton bedding, a beautifully upholstered velvet headborard and armchair, and two bedside tables, this calm room is a wonderful space to unwind after an action-packed day exploring. The opulent en suite in calm, soothing tones is complete with an elegant bathtub, large shower, and a wash basin. All bathrooms have White Company toiletries.
Please note: Up to 2 dogs are very welcome. Please note, there is an additional fee of £50 per dog.
If you are bringing little ones, there is a high chair available and a travel cot too. Please do bring your little one's sheets with you for use in the travel cot.
Laundry facilities are available in the utility room, including an iron and ironing board.
