Welcome to one of the top holiday destinations in the UK. Whether you’re planning a short break or to linger longer, you’re spoilt for choice when looking for things to do and places to visit in Devon.

With some 509 miles of stunning coastline (and the awesome South West Coast Path if you’re up for a challenge!) Plus some 130 beaches: water sports, swimming or simply chilling on the sands are all high on the agenda. The North Devon beaches are renowned for their surf but you’ll also get some fabulous surf at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea too! Adrenaline junkies can get their fix of coasteering, climbing and white water rafting. Alternatively, wind down with a gentle stroll or cycle along one of the many waymarked footpaths and cycle routes which criss-cross the county.

But if you love the outdoors, delve into the granite interior of the Dartmoor National Park and discover the towering tors and rivers which encapsulates much of this verdant county. Dartmoor is spectacular and offers the perfect terrain for hiking and horse riding.

Devon offers plenty of fun for families of all ages with theme parks, waterparks, zoos, aquariums. You can even go tree surfing in the Tamar Valley on a network of rope bridges, walkways, zip lines and Tarzan swings! But we couldn’t talk about things to do in Devon without mentioning the county’s majestic historical houses, museums and theatres, perfect for an enjoyable and educational day out for all the family.
