The North Devon beaches are renowned for their surf but you’ll also get some fabulous surf at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea too! Adrenaline junkies can get their fix of coasteering, climbing and white water rafting. Alternatively, wind down with a gentle stroll or cycle along one of the many waymarked footpaths and cycle routes which criss-cross the county.
But if you love the outdoors, delve into the granite interior of the Dartmoor National Park and discover the towering tors and rivers which encapsulates much of this verdant county. Dartmoor is spectacular and offers the perfect terrain for hiking and horse riding.
Devon offers plenty of fun for families of all ages with theme parks, waterparks, zoos, aquariums. You can even go tree surfing in the Tamar Valley on a network of rope bridges, walkways, zip lines and Tarzan swings! Surfing in Devon
Devon is home to some of the best surfing beaches in the UK. To the north, the rugged coast is flanked by vast sweeping beaches of surfing hotspots, Croyde and Putsborough. On the stunning south Devon coast we have the beautiful beaches of Bantham and Bigbury which sit at the mouth of the River Avon estuary and offer some of the best surfing in Devon.
