Marlin Cottage couldn't be better placed for a weekend in Salcombe. We spent our days wandering the town's pretty shops, picking up fresh crab sandwiches from the deli before hopping on the ferry to the golden beaches across the estuary. Back at the cottage, the beautifully renovated interiors provided a stylish and welcoming retreat, while the decked terrace offered the perfect spot to sit with a coffee or evening drink, soaking up the water and countryside views across the estuary. As the sun began to dip, we'd stroll down to The Ferry Inn for a quick sundowner by the water before returning home to relax.
