Land and Sea Overview

Tucked away at the head of a peaceful tidal creek on the Salcombe estuary, Land and Sea offers a wonderfully relaxed escape where coast and countryside meet. Just across from the much-loved Millbrook Inn, these beautifully refurbished cottages combines the ease of self-catering with the added pleasure of exceptional food, warm hospitality nearby and a truly special Devon village setting.

With interconnecting doors so families or friends can share the spaces together and designed with comfort in mind, the cottages provide a calm and inviting space to unwind, with thoughtfully styled light filled interiors and high-quality finishes throughout. Two fully fitted kitchens and dining areas for up to eight guests. Bedrooms are restful and well-appointed, featuring handcrafted beds dressed in Egyptian cotton, alongside ensuite bathrooms with soft robes, fluffy towels and luxury toiletries.

Days here are best spent outdoors, whether setting off on scenic walks from the doorstep, exploring the estuary, or simply soaking up the peaceful surroundings. The cottage is also dog friendly, making it an ideal choice for those wishing to bring their four-legged companion along. For a peaceful morning coffee head to your private garden spaces behind the cottages and listen to natures soundtrack.

As evening draws in, the famous Millbrook Inn awaits just across the road, offering organic, locally sourced dishes, excellent wine and a welcoming atmosphere by the fire or beside the brook. Afterwards, return to the cottage for a restful night’s sleep, ready to wake refreshed for another day in this quietly beautiful corner of the South Hams.

At Land and Sea, everything is set for an easy, restorative stay, shaped by comfort, simplicity and the charm of its waterside setting.

Parking: There are two allocated private parking spaces outside

Dogs: Please note that Land and Sea accepts up to two well behaved dogs at an additional charge

A babe-in-arms is most welcome at Land. A travel cot can be provided on request (just ping us an email once you've made your booking). Please note, you will need to bring your own mattress and cot bedding.

Wifi: Land and Sea has WiFi so if you need to stay in touch with the outside world, you can!

With its sheltered waters, scenic walking routes and easy access out towards Salcombe and the open sea, it’s an idyllic setting for those who enjoy being close to nature, whether on foot, by boat or simply soaking up the ever-changing views

These cottages are in the idyllic village of South Pool, in the beautiful South Hams.We’re within easy reach by road from Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes, or you can e-bike or walk from Salcombe. At high tide it’s just a short cruise up the South Pool creek from Salcombe or Kingsbridge.
