Tucked within the folds of the South Hams countryside, Ivy Cottage is the kind of place that quietly captures your heart. With its storybook thatch and time-softened stone, it feels wonderfully rooted in its surroundings ,an authentic Devon hideaway where life slows to the rhythm of rolling fields and distant sea air. We spent our days wandering the footpaths that unfurl from the doorstep, weaving through hedgerows and open pasture, working up an appetite before an indulgent supper at The Journeys End in Ringmore. Mornings called for coffee in the garden, listening to birdsong drift across the valley, while afternoons took us to nearby Bigbury Beach for salty air and nostalgic ice creams by the shore.
