Anchor Boathouse Overview
Enjoying the most exceptional position overlooking the estuary near Kingsbridge, Anchor Boathouse unfolds as a light-filled coastal hideaway, where wide-reaching estuary views and the gentle rhythm of the tide shape each day. From sunrise to dusk, the ever-changing waters and surrounding patchwork of countryside provide a captivating backdrop, best enjoyed from the generous patio where deep, comfortable sofas invite long, lingering afternoons and a barbecue stands ready for slow, sizzling suppers as the sun dips low. Private steps directly down to the waters edge, encourage paddleboarding, kayaking and boating fun with friends and family.
Inside, the interiors are bright and airy, with floor to ceiling windows framing the panoramic views of the water and beyond. The living spaces have been thoughtfully arranged for ease and comfort, offering a relaxed yet beautifully styled setting for gathering with family or friends. Bedrooms are positioned to make the most of the estuary outlook, so that each morning begins with soft light dancing across the water, while modern bathrooms provide space and style in equal measure. For younger guests, the single bedroom includes a trundle bed, perfect for siblings sharing or welcoming an extra friend for the adventure.
With a running mooring available and the water lapping below, days on the water pass by effortlessly, whether setting out by boat or, when the tide allows, or slipping quietly into the estuary. Handy storage racks are built into the foreshore for you.
Beyond the house, Kingsbridge is just a gentle stroll away, where a bustling high street awaits with its collection of independent shops, delicatessens and inviting places to eat. From here, you can catch the ferry to Salcombe for a day by the sea, or simply explore the surrounding countryside, where winding paths and open landscapes offer endless opportunities for walking your four-legged companions.
Thoughtfully styled for understated luxury, it’s a place to unwind, relax and watch the tides drift by and with your family dogs warmly welcomed, no member of the family need be left behind.
