Tucked along the water’s edge in one of Salcombe’s most sought-after creek positions, 3 Cookes Quay is a house that invites you to slip effortlessly into the rhythm of Salcombe life. With the creek lapping just below and its own private mooring, a rare privilege in this part of the world, days here begin and end on the water.
Mornings are best started slowly, with a short stroll into town for warm croissants from the local bakery, followed by a wander through Salcombe’s independent shops in search of provisions and small indulgences. From there, the day unfolds at your pace, launch a paddleboard or kayak with the family, row out from the mooring below, or step aboard and cross the water to the sandy beaches opposite.
The top floor of the house opens into a light-filled entertaining space where wide windows frame the ever-changing creek beyond. The kitchen is designed for gathering and entertaining; easy, sociable and perfectly placed for long suppers that drift late into the evening, fuelled by the day’s catch of the best local seafood the town has to offer.
Beautiful bedrooms are calm, with soft light and a relaxed coastal feel. Creek Car Park (in operation 1st April - 30th September) or Shadycombe Car Park outside these dates are the long stay car park where we would encourage you to park and you can pay daily via the Pay by Phone App
There is also free parking along Devon Road in some areas that are not time restricted - spaces are not guaranteed but usually you can find something given a little patience!
