Kingswear Cafes and Deli’s

Kingswear offers the best of both worlds, a slice of seclusion from its big sister Dartmouth when you want it but also easy access to the cafes and delis across the river. If you are spending a few hours in Dartmouth, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes and delis; it’s getting quite a reputation as the ‘go to’ town for stylish delis and French-style bistros so immerse yourself in a little continental cafe culture but don’t forget the traditional Devon Cream tea! Of course, you don’t have to hop on the ferry for your morning coffee…

Kingswear Cofee Company

Stroll down to The Square in the heart of the village and stop off at the Kingswear Coffee Company. The perfect place for a pick me up with a coffee and a croissant, excellent bacon paninis and some of the best afternoon tea and cake.

Woodroast, Dartmouth

Woodroast has some of the best coffee and homemade cakes in Dartmouth. This cafe sources its coffee from artisan roasters The Curator just down the road in Totnes, making it a great choice if you are looking for some truly local produce. After a blustery beach day on Blackpool Sands, warm up in Woodroast with a hot chocolate with all the trimmings and warm, freshly-baked banana bread.

On a sunny day, you can opt for a takeaway ‘lunch box’ stacked full of delicious deli meat and cheeses to enjoy al fresco on the bank of the river.

Beth’s Bistro, Dartmouth

After a morning stroll or swim, head over to Beth’s Bistro in Dartmouth for a traditional full English breakfast or a light lunch. If you are feeling a little more indulgent, why not opt for a traditional cream tea or some handmade cake?
