The Angel – Taste of Devon

This outstanding multi-award-winning restaurant offers relaxed fine dining with awesome views over the River Dart. Executive Chef Elly Wentworth is a former ‘MasterChef the Professionals’ Finalist of 2016. Elly and her team focus on locally sourced ingredients to create dishes including cured bream and Brixham crab risotto with shellfish Bisque. A great family seafood restaurant overlooking the River Dart. Owned by Mitch Tonks of The Seahorse Restaurant, Rockfish is vibrant with rustic style interiors and live music evenings and has a great reputation for serving up the freshest sustainable locally caught fish which is all cooked to order. Choose from the exciting menu which includes seafood gratin and tempura vegetables and the more traditional fish and chips! If you can’t get a table at the award winning Rockfish you can always try the Rockfish takeaway around the corner… the whitebait with aioli is amazing!

Embankment Bistro

With Elly Wentworth at the helm this upmarket waterside bistro is a classic. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it’s one of those places you simply must visit during your stay. With a mouth watering menu for casual dining throughout the day plus an artisan takeaway option, perfect for a riverside picnic. You can of course simply chill out on the terrace overlooking the water with a charcuterie platter and a glass of Bollinger.

The Quay
This well established restaurant sits in the heart of the town with stunning views over the River Dart. The menu features cuisine created using locally sourced meat, fish and seafood. The owners Peter and Pauline have a very loyal following of diners and have built up an envable reputation for offering stylish interiors and an intimate dining experience
Dishes are skillfully pepared and cooked to order by Peter and his team who create delicious dishes including seared scallops with pancetta, roast fillet of Dartmoor venison and whole pan fried bream and Lord Randall’s steamed apricot sponge pudding with marmalade sauce and clotted cream.
