Bluebell Cottage Overview

If you're looking for a traditional Devon stone cottage, then you've hit the jackpot. Set in the magical grounds of West Charleton Grange, there are so many wonderful things to do with the family.

The indoor swimming pool will be an absolute hit with the children as will the trampoline, slide, climbing frame, sit on tractors and football pitch. A tennis court (also with basketball hoop) and outdoor table tennis will keep even the most competitive families entertained!

Entering the cottage on the ground floor are the three bedrooms: a gorgeous master bedroom with kingsize bed, a twin bedroom and a bunk bedroom (suitable for children only). The family bathroom includes a bath with heavy glass screen and pressurised drench head shower above. There is also a useful separate cloakroom.

On the first floor is the gorgeous open plan kitchen, dining and living area which includes a wood burner for cooler evenings, a desk for those working from home, and a stunning window seat overlooking the grounds. Steps from the kitchen lead to a small private sheltered terrace which is perfect for a little drink in the evenings. The large terrace with communal gas BBQ is a few meters away from the front door with plenty of seating over looking the play field (this is shared with other guests).

Explore the grounds (try to find the secret garden) and enjoy the comfortable outside seating areas for evening drinks, or eating al fresco. For larger gatherings, The Folly is a gorgeous entertaining space and we can help suggest private chefs for special occasions (please note that use of the Folly is an additional £150). Or simply prepare the popcorn, and enjoy a Hollywood blockbuster on the big screen inside.

2 x well-behaved dogs allowed at extra charge

No smoking inside the cottage.

Allergies: dogs have been inside the cottage.

Please note that due to the pool being powered by solar panels, the pool temperature can fluctuate

Things To Do In Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge Travel

How to get to Kingsbridge Kingsbridge is a beautiful Devon town in a stunning location, sitting at the head of the Salcombe estuary (actually a ria) this charming market town is loved by locals and visitors alike - and it just keeps giving! Think independent local shops, great deli cafes, award-winning restaurants and the beautiful quay with its moorings, popular with stand-up paddleboarders. The town has regular monthly Farmers’ markets, arts and crafts markets in the town hall and some newly emerging antique shops. So, you’ve booked your luxury holiday home with Finest Stays and are considering how to get to Kingsbridge, here’s a quick rundown of Kingsbridge travel. Flying to Kingsbridge Fly into Exeter or Bristol airports; You can fly into Exeter from Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Dublin, Belfast  City, Jersey, Isles of Scilly and numerous European cities. Pick up a hire car and drive to Kingsbridge, about 45 miles. Arrive at Bristol airport (108 miles) and pick up a hire car or get the train from Bristol to Totnes then get a taxi to Kingsbridge or hop on the 164 bus.    Driving to Kingsbridge Travelling from Wales, Midlands and the North, drive down to Exeter on the M5. From London, you can either come along the M4 and join the M5 at Bristol or take the M3/A303/A30 route and join the M5 at Exeter. The M5 converges into the A38 where you take the right-hand lane for Haldon Hill. Kingsbridge is easily accessed from this dual carriageway which links Plymouth and Exeter. Continue along the road with the slopes of Dartmoor on your right until you reach signs for Totnes and Kingsbridge, the slip road to your left takes you onto the A384. You don’t drive through Totnes town (but worth a visit during your stay), instead follow the A381 signposted for Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. The drive from Bristol will take a couple of hours and from London around 4.5 hours depending on traffic.   Kingsbridge by Train Totnes is just 13 miles from Kingsbridge and it’s the nearest railway station with regular trains running from London Paddington, the North, Wales and Birmingham. The journey time from Bristol is 2 hours and it’s a swift 3 hours(or thereabouts) from London Paddington. On arriving at Totnes station you can pick up a taxi, the fare is around £26 and it’s about a half an hour ride to Kingsbridge. Taxi Numbers During busy times we recommend pre-booking your cab as the taxi rank at Totnes can get quite busy with travellers waiting for their onward journey.
