3 Manor House Overview

Tucked away in the heart of historic Dartmouth, 3 Manor House is a dreamy escape for those seeking luxury, comfort, and an unrivalled outlook over the enchanting River Dart.

The light-filled living area, with comfy sofas, high ceilings, elegant soft hues, and a cosy woodburner invite you to settle in together and simply unwind. Large sash windows frame the most glorious views, where sailboats glide across the water, and the ever-changing light paints a mesmerising picture throughout the day. Whether it’s a leisurely breakfast as morning light floods the room or a candlelit dinner with the river twinkling beyond the windows, every moment here feels effortlessly special.

The modern kitchen is thoughtfully designed with everything you need to prepare a feast using the finest local ingredients. Try the local market for amazing seafood delicacies. Grab a coffee at the breakfast bar while planning the days adventures ahead.

Upstairs, the charm continues with two sumptuous light spacious bedrooms offering a haven of peace and comfort. Soft linens, stylish décor, and more of those spectacular river views make waking up here a true delight. The sleek bathrooms, complete with indulgent touches, add to the sense of boutique luxury and space that flows throughout the apartment.

With Dartmouth’s vibrant streets just moments from your door, days can be spent wandering its independent boutiques, galleries, stopping for coffee in a waterside café, or exploring the town’s rich maritime history. Stroll along the harbour, take to the water for a boat trip along the Dart, or venture further afield to discover the golden beaches and breathtaking coastal walks of the South Hams.

It is one of the few homes with such a clear, uninterrupted, panoramic view of the river Dart Harbour, the higher ferry in the distance to the left, the lower ferry and way out to sea, past the twin castles at the mouth of the river to your right. Many hours can be blissfully idled away sitting in the large bay window appreciating the area.

The viewpoint terrace, opposite the manor house, is a wonderful place to take a cup of tea or a glass of wine (or two!) in the evening. The sight of Kingswear, on the opposite bank, is spectacular when cloaked by the setting sun.

Take the ferry up the river to Dittisham and visit The Anchor Stone Cafe for seafood or go kayaking on the River Dart. Blackpool Sands beckons too with its stunning beach and super cool beach cafe and seaside sauna.

As the day draws to a close, return to the comfort of 3 Manor House, pour a glass of something chilled and watch as the sun sets over the river—a scene so beautiful, you’ll never want to leave.

A beautifully appointed and located apartment, with stunning views of the estuary below. Not only was it very comfortable and well furnished, it is also a slice of history, having been originally the Manor House of a merchant. A thoroughly lovely stay!
