21 Island Street Overview

21 Island Street is in an idyllic location in the centre of the ever popular Island Street. Perfect for exploring the local artisan shops including yummy Salcombe ice cream & chocolate factory or the sumptious Salcombe Gin and Devon Rum, alongside lovely artists and potters.

On entering this perfect homely cottage through the stable door there is a comfortable lounge with underfloor heating, tastefully furnished with sustainable rugs and throws with a dining area, Flat Screen TV, DVD Player and a pretty window on to the small courtyard in front where you can enjoy watching the world go by.

The contemporary kitchen with a gas hob and oven has everything you need to prepare meals from all the lovely local ingredients you can find in the town. Salcombe Crab is a must! A useful washer/dryer is provided. There is a back door leading to a small rear shared access pathway to the rear.

Stairs off the kitchen lead to the bright Master Bedroom with double bed and chest of drawers. Followed by the modern shower room for washing away those sandy toes.

Accessed from the same landing is the bright and airy second bedroom with modern full size bunk beds, chest of drawers and views outside from the lovely sash window.

21 Island Street is a perfect cottage to enjoy Salcombe and all its charms. A bolthole you wont want to leave.

Parking Information

There is a parking permit provided for the long stay car park on Salcombe. Please check the details on the permit for which car park this is for as this varies depending on the time of year. There are two long stay car parks in Salcombe that you can park in and pay daily via the Ringo App for any additional parking. Creek Car Park is in operation 1st April - 30th September; use Shadycombe Car Park outside these dates.

For any additional parking, there is free parking along Devon Road - spaces are not guaranteed but usually you can find something given a little patience! If you head along Devon Road (going towards North Sands rather than the end closer to town), there are some spaces under the trees which are not time restricted.

21 Island St was ideal for us and our dog Lizzie. Having the extra small bedroom was great because one of us contracted a nasty cold and the other was relegated to the small bedroom!! Overall not too big , not too small. Furnishing and accessories were all of excellent quality. The cottage was wonderfully situated, right in the middle of Salcombe basically. To the right the town centre and quay and to the left the life of Island St and the Coop. The parking permit was a godsend.

It is an excellent property and well appointed. All the consumables were of the highest standard (White Company) and the towels and bedding were also of a high standard. The property was very clean when we arrived. We will be returning and would give 21 Island St 5 out of 5!!

The accommodation, whilst on the small side, is generally beautifully presented, with high quality furnishings and nicely decorated. The furniture was very comfortable and the bedding felt luxurious making for a comfortable night's sleep.The little gated courtyard shared with the other properties on the terrace provided a sheltered spot to sit outside, set back from the main thoroughfare. This was very attractive with pretty lights strung up at the end of the courtyard. The parking pass was very handy and the main car park only a short walk away.
