Founder & Owner
Kate created Finest Stays, previously Salcombe Finest, in 2013. Her connection with South Devon is both personal and professional, and she possesses endless knowledge on all aspects of holidaying in the area. Kate handpicks the holiday homes for our portfolio and crucially, it is Kate’s passion for South Devon and its beauty and charm that puts her personal level of service in such high regard amongst property owners and guests. Kate works closely with the rest of the team, ensuring the business runs seamlessly while staying true to its core values, nurturing long-term relationships and offering expert insight to help maximise the potential of our owners homes.
Hattie
Revenue Manager & Operations
Hattie works closely with owners on revenue management, regularly reviewing booking patterns and market data to optimise pricing and maximise occupancy, helping ensure each property reaches its full potential. Hattie is also a true advocate of providing an exemplary service for our guests so that they want to return to holiday in South Devon again and again and again. Here at Finest Stays, Hattie is responsible for quality control and ensures that any problems are resolved efficiently and effectively, all while maintaining great relationships with our fantastic property owners, our lovely guests and our trusty suppliers.
Jane
Portfolio Consultant
Jane is responsible for discovering best-in-class holiday homes and welcoming them into the portfolio. With extensive local knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail, she ensures that every new property meets our high standards and aligns with the luxury our guests have come to expect. Jane builds genuine, long-lasting partnerships with our property owners, offering guidance and support from the very first conversation. From the moment a new home joins the portfolio, Jane leads the onboarding process with care and precision, coordinating with our trusted photographers and meticulously finesses every listing.

Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager for Finest Stays, Kirsty brings creativity, strategy, and a deep understanding of the holiday market to every campaign. With a keen eye for brand storytelling and a passion for showcasing the beauty of Devon, she leads all marketing activity – from social media and email campaigns to homeowner outreach and seasonal promotions. She handles guest issues promptly and professionally and works to optimise performance across all booking channels, identifying both challenges and opportunities for growth. As well as communicating closely with owners and their respective guests, Jess also supports day-to-day bookings and enquiries with efficiency and care, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Accounts, accounts, sailing, accounts! Josie has been working for Finest Stays since 2019 and is in charge of keeping financial track of the company. From payments coming in, to business expenses going out – Josie is a real stickler for detail! Behind the scenes, Josie ensures that everything adds up with precision and care. Her methodical approach and eagle eye for accuracy help keep the business running smoothly, allowing the rest of the team to focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
